MERELANI, TANZANIA

A unique origin for a rare gemstone.

Tanzanite is commercially associated with Merelani, in northern Tanzania, near Arusha and Kilimanjaro. This highly localized origin distinguishes the stone from gems found in several regions worldwide.

Joyzanite places this origin at the center of the narrative: the location, extraction, sorting, possible heating, cutting, and polishing are part of the stone's value.
